    Why Twitter is an Amazing Tool for the Self-Employed

    When I first wrote about Twitter a couple of years ago, I said that “people really don’t care what you had for lunch.” Yes, I know, I clearly didn’t get Twitter for business at that time, and not a few of my readers (and the Twitteratti) let me know that. Let us just say that today, I am a tad better informed. I tweet regularly, have about 10,000 followers, and it is a key component of my marketing strategy, as it is for many businesses. But that said, Twitter still is not part of the marketing mix for a lot of entrepreneurs, freelancers, self-employed people and other small businesses.
